Cruise Ship 'Astor' To Dock In Port

The German cruise ship Astor will stop at the Port of Townsville on Sunday, 27 February. Operated by Transocean Tours, the Astor is a very attractive modern ship. It contains a well designed interior fitness centre, a large swimming pool, and a basketball court. The vessel can accommodate a maximum of 650 passengers in its 295 cabins.

Port Authority Urges Red Cross Support For First Visit Of 2005

TOWNSVILLE Port Authority is calling on the wider port and business community to roll up its sleeves and get behind the Red Cross for the first time in 2005. The Red Cross mobile blood collection unit will be set up at the Port on Monday, 21 March as part of a regular and ongoing donation program.

Dredging Set To Commence In Ross Creek

Navigation in Ross Creek will be improved with the commencement of dredging next Townsville Port Authority. The dredging, as part of port maintenance, will be undertaken between the swing basin at the CB Marine slipway and the Denham Street bridge.
