A PILE of Christmas presents purchased by members of the Townsville Port community will be handed over to Lifeline this morning (Thursday, 18 December 2003). The hand-over marks the end of port’s 2003 Christmas appeal, which collected gifts for children aged from infancy to 12 years old. |

Kagara Begins First Shipment From Townsville To China |

THE first shipment of copper and lead concentrates by Kagara Zinc Limited will leave Townsville Port tomorrow (Wednesday, 17 December 2003). The Parkgracht will be loaded with 3000 tonnes of copper concentrates trucked to Townsville from the Mt Garnet Mine and 4,500 tonnes of lead concentrates produced from Surveyor Mine at Balcooma. |
