Red Cross – Final Visit to the Port for 2006

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service will be visiting the Port of Townsville for the final time this year on Thursday, 14 December between 8.30am and 3.30pm outside the Admin/Engineering Buildings on Benwell Road. Please roll up your sleaves this Christmas and give a great gift.

Blood supplies are desperately needed during the Christmas period so get behind your community and give the greatest gift for Christmas this year - the gift of life.

The Red Cross recommends a minimum of 3-4 glasses of water be consumed in the hour prior to donation and an increase in liquid intake in the 24 hours prior to donation. Donors should also have a hearty breakfast or lunch prior to donation. Photographic ID is required for presentation at the time of donation.

Come along at your leisure or to make a booking phone: 0411 669 331 – if you are not a regular Port user and do not have an access card, please phone 4781 1500 and arrangements can be made.
