Ross Dunning appointed Central Coordinator for Dalrymple Bay Coal Chain Board

The Dalrymple Bay Coal Chain Board is pleased to announce the appointment of highly regarded transport infrastructure expert Mr Ross Dunning to the position of Central Coordinator.

The Dalrymple Bay Coal Chain Board’s inaugural Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Anglo Coal Australia, Mr Seamus French said Mr Dunning’s extensive experience in port and rail management was aimed at driving substantial improvement in the reliability and performance of the world’s busiest coal chain.

Comprising of industry representatives and service providers, the Dalrymple Bay Coal Chain Board was established last year following recommendations from Stephen O’Donnell’s first Goonyella Coal Supply Chain Review.

Another of Mr O’Donnell’s recommendations was to establish the Central Coordinator position. In this position Mr Dunning will be responsible for the overall planning process and performance of the coal supply chain.

“With more than 40 years experience and the last 14 of these spent as a board member for a number of leading transport, engineering and energy organisations, Ross Dunning has enormous knowledge and proven experience in maximising transport operations, particularly in port and rail.

“The Dalrymple Bay Coal Chain Board is looking forward to welcoming Ross on board and working closely with him to achieve optimum performance of the coal supply chain,” Mr French said.

Mr Dunning is currently Chairman of the Port of Townsville, a Non-executive Director of Queensland Energy Resources Limited, Townsville Enterprise Limited and Indec Consulting.
