Importing 101 Retailers’ Workshop and Port Tour

Have you ever wondered if you could import directly into Townsville to eliminate double handling and cut freight costs?

Does your business import via our capital cities and backtrack by road or rail? If so, we would like to help you streamline the process.

Due to the success of the first Retailers Workshop the Port of Townsville is again holding a free information workshop. We would like to invite you to join us for a tour of the Port and an opportunity to discuss your needs with industry specialists from 1.45pm to 5.00pm, Thursday, 2 April 2009.

The aim of the workshop is to:

  • Consider specific container import case studies and provide practical tips;
  • Increase your knowledge of the Port and how we can help you to improve your bottom line;
  • Let us know your business needs so we can streamline a solution to suit you;
  • Unravel the mysteries of industry terms and jargon; and
  • Explain the supply chain and clarify the roles of each link in the chain.

By attending the Port Tour and Workshop you will be able to observe first-hand this pivotal link in your trade pathway! Be quick to book a place for your business online, or cut and return the registration for by fax or email.
