Chairman Welcomes New Board Appointments

Chairman of Port of Townsville Limited, Mr Ross Dunning AC, today welcomed the appointment of Mr Rabieh Krayem to the Board.

Mr Dunning said Mr Krayem was a natural fit with the current board, offering a tremendous wealth of commercial experience as a CEO of national recruitment firm IPA Personnel, as well as highly regarded skills in Human Resource management.

“Mr Krayem’s knowledge and experience will only further strengthen a very well balanced board of Directors who are passionate about serving the Port, the local community, and the people of Queensland,” Mr Dunning said.

“Importantly, as a former CEO of the North Queensland Cowboys, Mr Krayem developed a strong connection with local communities across the North and North West – communities which are vital contributors to the future of our Port and the wealth of the region.

“The Port is sure to benefit enormously from his appointment,” Mr Dunning said.

Mr Dunning also welcomed the re-appointment of Ms Melissa Griffith to the board.

Ms Griffith, a civil engineer specialising in maritime and coastal engineering in the Brisbane office of Kellogg Brown and Root Pty Ltd has been on the board since 1 July 2005.

“Melissa has made a very positive contribution to the Corporation, especially in coastal engineering matters and I am delighted that she will continue her strong commitment into the future” Mr Dunning said.
