The Port of Townsville, located around 1300 kilometres north of Brisbane, is Northern Australia’s largest general cargo and container port. The Townsville Port is also Australia’s leading exporter of zinc, lead, sugar, fertiliser and molasses.

Townsville is the international freight gateway for the largest population centre in Northern Australia and the port also serves as a strategic Navy call; also equipped with dedicated cruise ship facilities.

Trade is forecast to treble over the next 30 years, with an ambitious program of upgrades and new builds in the pipeline to accommodate this growth to cement the Townsville Port’s place as a premier trade and logistics hub and Northern Australia’s Transport Link to the world.
