Located 1,360 kilometres north of Brisbane, The Port of Townsville is a world-class gateway for trade and investment.
Port of Townsville Limited established the Townsville Port Community Liaison Group (CLG) in early 2017 following the success of the Port Stakeholder Working Group (PSWG). The CLG has the scope to include all facets of port operation in its agenda, whereas the PSWG was limited to discussing air quality within its Terms of Reference.
The CLG is comprised of community members and community groups/organisations (membership list below) who have a strong interest in the operations of the port, port sustainability and future port development plans and work in partnership with the Port team by providing feedback, opinions and input into our operations, stakeholder engagement and future plans.
Members are encouraged to contribute to the monthly agenda which includes trade performance and potential new cargo, environmental monitoring results (including air quality), major project information, cruise and defence ship attraction progress, and community engagement, partnership and project initiatives.
The CLG meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 5pm-6.30pm, alternating each month between locations in Townsville and on Magnetic Island.
The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 29 March at 5pm at the Amaroo Mandaly meeting room on Magnetic Island.
Minutes of all meetings will be published on this page of the Townsville Port website.
